Description
Genotropin 36Iu Injection is a neuropeptide, also called GHIH (Growth Hormone-Inhibiting Hormone). It regulates various physiological functions and exerts inhibitory action on numerous secondary hormones such as glucagon and insulin. It also regulates gastrointestinal tract activities like gastrointetinal motility and secretion of gastrin and secretin.
Genotropin 36Iu Injection should not be taken if you are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding. It is advised to consult a doctor before taking Genotropin 36Iu Injection, especially in case of aged people. You should avoid Genotropin 36Iu Injection if you are having hypersensivity to the drug or if you are having a condition of insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.
The common side effects of Genotropin 36Iu Injection are nausea, diarrhoea, flushing, vertigo, hypochlorhydria, dyspepsia, steatorrhoea. You should immediately see a doctor if you encounter any of these.
The recommended dosage of Genotropin 36Iu Injection is 250mcg which is administered slowly as I.V bolus injection over a period of 3-5 minutes at an infusion rate of 3mg/12hour.
